Senior Projects

Senior Projects are the capstone of the YIHS experience. Students choose a topic at the beginning of their senior year and pursue it independently through research, internships, travel, mentorships, etc. and ultimately present their work before the community. It’s like a dry-run for life; learning to learn on your own and to constructively pursue your passions.Over the years students have created websites for businesses, made animated movies, knit sweaters, written and performed original plays, learned new instruments, volunteered in women’s’ shelters, built furniture, researched invasive species…the list is as expansive as the passions of our students.
