YIHS Print Shop

A Fusion of Learning and Earning

The YIHS Print Shop was brought into existence by the talent of artist Peter Hodapp, the organizational skill of Liz Cox and the generosity of the Rudolf Steiner Fund and others. Screen and Block printing have been a mainstay of Youth Initiative’s Arts Curriculum ever since Peter Hodapp was hired in 2005.

After generously donating his own equipment and materials to get the class running, Peter has built the printing curriculum into something the school wanted to share with the community.

This artistic impulse led to creation of a development opportunity. Liz Cox was successful in procuring a grant from the Rudolf Steiner Fund to improve and expand some of our equipment and the Youth Initiative Print Shop was born, marrying the core values of artistic expression, student responsibility, and community outreach that our school holds so dear.

All products from the YIHS print shop are made by the students themselves with and eye to quality and customer satisfaction and all proceeds go to funding of their own education.

Youth Initiative Print Shop offers custom work using your images on a number of different items (sweatshirts, tote bags, etc.). Printing can be done on our shirts or yours. We also have hand printed gift cards and other custom paper work available.
