Jan Van Tol
Jan Van Tol joined the YIHS as a junior following in the (large) footsteps of his older brother Jesse who graduated from the YIHS in 2002. Commuting daily from Sparta in older but classy foreign cars, thereby adding a measure of style to this daily experience, Jan made his imprint on the school by creating and maintaining the school’s website, teaching web design to fellow students, contributing hilarious commentaries to school publications and showing off excellent essay skills. He served a term on the Board of Directors, making sure the school was heading in the right direction. He participated in the service project trip to Guatemala, and he could always be counted on when a poster or announcement needed to be created. Jan will continue his education at the UW Madison this fall.
