Broom Repair
On the afternoon of November 17, 2005 disaster struck! Cole Agar was not feeling too happy about a recent trivial test score. He vented his anger on one of the Youth Initiative's faithful brooms of many years. This broom was built to sweep floors, not bash in walls. Unsurprisingly Cole succeeded in breaking the broom in two.
1) Ben was greatly distressed by this tragic occurrence, the broom would not work anymore. Also, Ben had a floor to sweep.
In doing so, Cole also broke Ben's heart.
3) After much careful thinking and planning Ben decided to fix it using a sturdy dowel found in the Pit
2) Ben decided to take the broom apart to see what the problem was.
5) And of course Duct Tape played a key role in restoring the broom to full health.
4) Ben misjudged how much duct tape he needed, but not by more than anyone else would have.
6) Ben grabbed some nearby scissors and skillfully carved off the excess tape, using skills he acquired in Carpentry class.
7) It fit like a um...yeah it fit! Ben screwed it together.
8) He tested it...WOW! It appeared to operate on a higher level of efficiency than before!
8) And tested it again...BROOM!!!!
