"The utmost sophistication is simplicity...The flexible overcomes the rigid."      Dao De Jing

The Wu Wei school believes that physical movement is influenced by and is an expression of, perceptual habits and thought patterns. The reverse is also true, perception and thought can be changed thru movement. An example of this is the earth wide use of dancing to raise spirits during celebration. When one learns to move so that limbs and muscle groups do not interfere with each other, and so that the body does not interfere with its surroundings, the mind also learns to flow with the body and environment. As this happens, physical and psychic movement becomes natural and spontaneous, rather than pinched and contrived.
