All-School Invitation. Please join us on Wednesday, June 20th for a picnic and hoe-down at Jacob's garden a/k/a the YIHS Three Sisters' Garden, named for the corn, beans, and squash that are growing there.  These crops will provide income for the school in the fall when we harvest popcorn, ornamental grinding corn, field pumpkins, baking pumpkins, winter squash and lots of beautiful dried beans!  One more weeding ought to do it, so we thought we would make it fun for everyone. Bring a picnic and your favorite hoe!  5-9 pm.  Hope to see you there! Call Vicki for details: 606-3760 ~ Jane, Jacob, and Vicki.

Job Openings. YIHS has a few part-time job openings for the school year 2007/2008: 2 positions in teaching English/creative writing/literature (all year, 3 sessions per week); 1 position in teaching music/singing (1 or 2 quarters, 4 sessions per week). Candidates need to be interested in the Waldorf educational approach to teaching, willing to learn, and to be part of an exiting work environment full of surprises.

Thanks to students Ashontae and Josh Lantro for their commitment to keeping our plants hydrated this summer!

Many thanks to Terry Beck for volunteering his time to record the thought processes of our two Visioning Meetings. The notes are here for your perusal and feedback. While the lists look like lots of questions and areas for clarification, it was useful to have these questions asked in an open forum so that we all know what’s on the table. The task is now for the school’s bodies to address responsibilities and issues within their own groups.
