Thank You. Thank you the following people for their help with this year's architecture class: Rich Grams and the Gilgenbach family for allowing us to use their vehicles. Robert Schulz and Summer Deal Schulz for teaching us about slip-straw construction. Adrian Ugo and Justin Halvorson for letting us help out on the log home they are building. Liz Ptacek and Whet Moser for being our hosts in Chicago. Thank you!! —Jacob Hundt. A big thank you from all the faculty, staff and students to Patrick for working so hard on the yearbook! Hope it counts as physical therapy for your broken arm! I'd like to thank all of the parents and alumni who contributed vehicles and time so that our camping trip to Tillers could happen. So thank you to Rich Grams for loaning such a wonderfully roomy truck! I tried to get all of the potato chips out of the console. Hope the extra gas was worth your generosity! Thanks to Dawn Hundt (yet again) for loaning her lovely new van. (It has much better shocks than the old one.) Thank you to Sarah Caldwell for loaning us her van. Thank you to Jane Siemon for transporting people and lots of very wet gear in her truck. Thank you to Anton Bezin and Johnny Gambrell for being such wonderful chaperones and drivers. An excellent time was enjoyed by all from the hard work of stone masonry and ox driving to the impromptu mud slide and side trips to the swimming hole. A final thank you to Todd and Evie from Tillers who provided such sweet hospitality. Looking forward to the all-school camping trip. —Vicki Ramsay

Please contact me (Conrad) in case you have questions.
Terry Beck, professor at UW-LaCrosse, will be our facilitator. His children attended Pleasant Ridge, but he is largely unfamiliar with the Youth Initiative. Terry has an interest in organizational dynamics, and has kept up on innovations in this field. Preliminarily, we see the first session as a place to clearly state what our values are, what we don't want to change, and, even, how we define the terms that we use regularly (What is our community, what is transparency, what is authority, what do we mean by youth initiative?). We will also identify opportunities for improvement, and, at the next meeting, use the values and definitions we've generated to find creative solutions to what challenges us. Our first meeting, on June 7, will be held at WTC, Room 115. Please attend if you can. If you have input that you'd like to offer, but can't attend, please share it with one of us or someone else who will be there. Our second meeting time will be announced soon. —Charlene Elderkin & Liz Cox

Looking for Sublet ... Our plants need a summer home! Some are large and could fill that empty corner in your house that has bad Feng Shui. Others just need a spot on your table. If you can help, please stop by and take a plant home ... it gets very hot at school in the summer, and watering can be irregular. Thanks.
